Disk Launcher for Moving Target Practice
Dont settle for stationary targets! The durable, hard plastic disk launcher stores up to 12 foam disks for moving target practice. A wireless remote cartridge that attaches to the top of the blaster lets you control when to send the disk flying. When the "launch" button is pressed, the disk launcher commences a beeping countdown with three lights so you can get ready to shoot. But theres more. With two different height settings, you can shoot the disk seven or nine feet. You can also launch the disks at multiple angles: straight up, or 45 degrees to the right or left.

Fast and Accurate Blaster Gun
The blaster gun shoots micro darts with speed and accuracy. Made with sturdy yellow, black, and silver plastic, the blaster has a contoured handle with a loop for hanging the gun when not in use. Equipped with six darts, the blaster stores five darts at the front of the gun and one in the barrel. To shoot, simply draw back the bright orange cocking mechanism, pull the trigger, and watch it fly. The wireless remote features a fin on top for quick aiming. With rubber-like plastic tips, the foam darts stick hard to the durable disk targets. To increase the challenge, theres a target on both sides of the foam disks and, with a yellow and black side, the disks can be loaded for day or nighttime use.

Put to the Test
The game combinations are virtually endless. With a score card for target hits, the N-Strike Disk Shot lets you compete against a friend or play against your own best records. The only downsides to the Disk Shot are the noise of the launcher and the multiple angle settings. The fan engine sound is enough to bother parents, but not enough to stop the fun for kids. And when we positioned at a 45-degree angle, our test disk launcher got stuck in that position. While it could be forcibly adjusted, it is probably not good for the disk launcher.

The disk launcher is compatible with other N-Strike blasters. The wireless remote attaches to any blaster with a rail system. Two "AAA" batteries (sold separately) are required for the wireless remote. Theres also an expansion pack available for the N-Strike Disk Shot that includes a Disk Shot blaster, six foam disks, and six micro darts.

My son is a huge fan of Nerf products and this one is no exception. Be warned, the unit that shoots the disks is a little bit loud, but its really simple to use and my son has had tons of fun playing with it. My 55 year old father even has fun with it!!! LOL

I bought this for my nephews 11th birthday. I dont see my brothers kids often, so I had no idea whether this would be something an outdoors-loving, sports-playing young electronics addict would enjoy. Two days after it arrived my brother called to tell me that it works perfectly, the discs fly pretty far (for indoors) and that the whole family was having a blast with it.

I purchased this Nerf game for my 12 year old son. It is really pretty cool and he and I have spent about 15 minutes on several occasions playing with it.
The first issue that we had was our 8 foot tall ceilings are not high enough for the product. Perhaps 10 or 12 feet are needed. We solved this by placing the product down in a stairwell with lots of clearance. We stood at the top of the stairwell and fired from there. In this arrangement, the disks were often at eye level or slightly below when we were firing. Also, we had to learn to track the path of the disk with the gun and fire near the top of the height of the disk.
The disk launcher can fire straight up or at a variable angle. Straight up worked fine for us. The variable angle would tend to hit the wall. One cool thing is that the height of the disk is intentionally varied to make this more challenging.
To start the disk, there is an IR (infrared) remote control mounted on the top of the gun. Press this button and the disk launcher starts a countdown process with a progression of beeps. When the disk is launched, try to follow its path from the launcher using the gun and then fire at the top of the arc. If I am careful, I can hit the disks about half the time. The darts are designed to stick to the disks, but that does not happen very often. This is not really a problem, but it would be cool if they stuck to the disks.
This product is very safe, however, you want to make sure that your child knows not to shoot someone in the face. You could do some eye damage at close range. Otherwise, you can safely take a hit a point blank range as my son and I often do.
This is a challenging and fun game and I highly recommend it.

My five year old got this for his 3rd birthday and he still uses it, his friends love it, his now 3 year old brother loves it. They really use their imaginations and have a great time (weve got castle accessories and other odd creatures like happy meals toys, etc.) The drawbridge broke when one of the kids pushed it too hard to stop another child from opening it but we unscrewed the part and fixed it and it works fine until kids fight over it and then we have to fix it again--pretty easy fix. Overall, this has been one of our most used toys. Were getting the Batman cave playset for them this Christmas because they had so many hours of fun with this.

I bought this toy for ... and it is wonderful! It was a gift for my 3 year old son - however, my 7 year old and 4 year old daughter also love it. Theyre having a blast finding all the secret doors ect. . . A great toy!

This is a great toy. My kids got this when they were 2 and 4 and have been playing with it ever since (they are now 4 and 5). My daughter uses it for her princesses, and my son plays with the knights and horses. I recently looked it up because a friends son played with it at our house and wants one of his own. I saw that Amazons price was $119.95 and hope that this is a typographical error. The toy can be found on other sites for about $20. It is well worth $20 but not even close to being worth $120...

This a great castle for young children. My son bought it with some birthday money of his 2 years ago for $40 at Toys R Us. Im surprised the price has gone up so much--did they stop making it in China?

Anyhow, it is always a hit with boys who come over for playdates. My son was 3 when he bought it and is now 5 and still plays with it from time to time, but at 5 years he is getting more into Playmobil and Schleich and other brands of dragons and characters so I cant imagine this being in use in our house for very much longer (maybe another year). He does use it with his wizard and dragon figures as well as animals and playmo people so it can be used for more than just knights.

The pieces are a good size for young children to play with and not get frustrated over (as they can with Playmobil). There are also some additional toys that can be bought on the side.

Great for the 3-5 years old, but I would go with another castle for older ages.

My son asked for this for XMas, and so I got it for him. I orginally paid $32.99 for it, and then got it on here for $14.99. If I ever paid more I would have said it was not worth the money. But for what I paid, its great. It does pop open and fold up nicely for easy storage. Obviousely, its not very educational, as its a haunted house.

My son got this for Christmas. It was very simple for him to play with, he put all the small parts on himself and has enjoyed it since. I got a deal on it through amazon, I dont think it would be worth the $40.00 they were asking at the store for it. I wasnt sure how long it would last since he so rough on his toys, but it seems to be holding up well. I will definately be adding more Mattel models to our collection.

My daughters both love this toy! There are many different things to play with and locate within the haunted house, so it keeps them engaged. And it folds up pretty small so that it is easy to store (which is nice for me!), and it has a handle for easy carrying.

We have purchased these playsets in the past and have been disappointed at the cheap construction, but our son loves dinosaurs and we thought we would try again. It is much better than others we have bought. My son loves the tiny dinosaur in the egg, and he plays with this often. It is easy to fold up (although I have to admit since I didnt put it together it took me awhile to figure out that you have to pull the dinosaur skull back in order to close it, after much frustration). It is great to take with us on a dinner out night, or any other trip where there may not be anything to occupy his little 2.5 yr old self. If your boy loves dinosaurs and cars, this is great!

Becoming a Better Cook: When you finish each recipe, you put a stamp on the in-game calendar, marking what youve made and when you made it. Later, you can search by whether or not youve made a dish before, allowing you to perfect your technique on a particular recipe, or keep expanding your culinary horizons. With an extensive in-game reference of cooking terms, pictures and demonstration videos, you can tailor your cooking experience to your level of skill, then watch that skill grow as you keep cooking.

Special Input Options: The game can be controlled entirely with the stylus, for maximum accessibility. When your hands are full, covered in cookie batter or otherwise unavailable, all of the in-recipe commands can be given by speaking to the DS microphone. The keyword search function uses handwriting recognition, so you can simply write out that youre looking for a "sweet" something. Finally, that same handwriting recognition is used to make notes on recipes. If you want to remember to reduce the salt, or simply that this recipe was especially tasty, the software takes the same role as the handwritten note in a cookbook.

I was really excited about getting this "game" as I love to cook and wanted to try it out. There are some very interesting recipes available, however a good number of them are exotic and if I even wanted to try to cook them I could never find the ingredients (i.e. Squid in Ink sauce). Im a pretty adventurous eater and cook and there honestly arent alot of these recipes that I could say Id ever make more than once. I definitely think they could have used more variety in their recipe selection.

My major problem with the game, and the one that has me considering either sending it back or selling it online is the fact that when you are cooking the voice recognition picks up other sounds and starts freaking out skipping back and forth through the steps at every clank of a bowl or chop of a knife. Every time Id get done with one step Id have to go search for where I was in the recipe.

I do have to say however that the recipe I made turned out great (Chicken Marengo), if the rest of them turn out as good as the first it might be worth keeping even with the overwhelming flaws.

I felt that this product was exactly what I needed in order to expand my cooking skills. The voice is nice and not that bothersome, the recipes are categorized and go through everything you need to do, including what you need to do for preparation or ingredients, and included a list of utensils you needed. Some points of the game that got to me were the fact that the recipes were limited to gourmet stuff, and there werent simple things like making brownies. Additionally, the highest you can set the recipe for is six people, which for me is a little bothersome because I cook in order to save and eat what I have cooked over a couple of days. But despite these points, I still feel like the game is a great purchase if you want to explore cooking more.

Unlike most cooking games on the DS, you actually get to make real food. The game comes with a good amount of recipes that originate from all over the world. It also has a lot of features like the Cooking A-Z section where you can get cooking tips, terminology, and cooking preparation videos. You can also choose to exclude certain ingredients from the recipes and the game also comes with a handy kitchen timer.

As for the Recipes, you can search by country, keyword, ingredients, calories, difficulty, cooking time, cooking method, and/or notes (you can add notes to the recipes too!). Once you select a recipe, you can view the ingredients and check off any of them you need to buy so that they will show up in the shopping list (another handy feature). You can view the basic steps to get an idea of what utensils you will need and what you will be doing. Once you are all prepared, its time to cook! The game will give you audio and visual cues as you are cooking and you can control the the movement of the steps buy voice command so you can keep your hands free.

The recipes are easy to follow and tasty. Its especially great for anyone who is learning to cook.

Here it is in a nutshell, folks. I read the reviews first and decided to purchase the game. The game is ok. The graphics are sharp and anti-aliasing isnt really utilized much here. It LOOKS and FEELS like the regular old Tetris.

The Xbox Live play is kinda lame because youre paired up against kids who are INSANE. Ive lost the last 10 games because I (a novice at BEST) was paired against a kid who not only mopped the floor with me in terms of speed, but he ALSO organized by RAINBOW. WTF! HOLY BAJEZUZ!

Anyway, I REGRET buying this game because you can DOWNLOAD a BETTER VERSION off Xbox Live. The Xbox Live version is new age, has animated backgrounds, and is a LOT more fun. I tried the trial for free and will eventually end up buying the full version since this one is a little bit lame.

Take it from someone whos played both. SKIP this one unless youre going to buy it for $10.00 at a tagsale.

My kids love this toy. In water or out of water they have a great time playing. The squid is terrific too. It has removable tentacles that really suction. Great imaginitive fun!

My son is almost five and he loves the squid that is part of this set. It has suction cups on each of its tentacles and you can make it stick to windows, the bathtub or parts of the boat. Im not sure why it is made so that the tentacles can come off though and we have already lost one tentacle. The batteries wear out quickly and It never really powered the boat. It sort of sluggishly circled. Despite what I think of the toy, Conor loves it and that is the important thing. I think it looks too plasticky and fake but to him it is just an awesome toy that makes taking a bath fun. So it serves its purpose and I have to give the makers credit for making a toy that kids love. You will need to get something to put it in because it has a lot of pieces and you dont want to lose them. I would reccomend this to a friend because it is a lot of fun for the price

We Love this toy and have many of the other mega rigs as well. This one is one of our favorites. When I brought it home my 3 year old son wanted a bath immediately! It was only 10 in the morning, but who cares! He plays with it daily in and out of the tub. He loves that the pieces of all the mega rigs are all interchangable and he can create tons of different vehicles. The only slight complaint I have is that he uses the sub so much we go through Tons of AA batteries!!! We have had NO problems with any of these toys - Unbelievable in itself! Would HIGHLY recomend these toys to any parent.

My 4 and 6 year old boys LOVE this toy. They play with it in the bath, pool and indoors. The battery compartment did not last under the water but I guess I never expect those things to last. They play and pretend and put many boats, etc together. I would recommend this toy to active imaginative kids especially if they like under water things.

My 3-year old boy LOVES all the Matchbox Mega Rigs (he also has the Snow Monster set and the Dinosaur set) and Shark Escape is a nice addition to the collection. They are all very sturdy and none of his rigs has broken even with heavy use. Every day at some point he will say, "Lets play with RIGS!" He can mix and match and really use his imagination to the fullest. I HIGHLY recommend the Mega Rig toys, they are MUCH more fun and durable than the usual Matchbox sets (which my son tends to use for a few days and then they are quickly forgotten). One note about Shark Escape is that I dont think it would make a great stand-alone toy, as it consists of just a shark, a guy, and one truck and cage -- but in conjunction with another Mega Rig set or two, its great, especially if your little one loves trucks AND sharks!

This is by far the favorite Christmas toy ever. There is a lot to do with this ship besides carrying it around. It helps my 3 yr old grandson to create his own stories. Even superman, batman and superman-woman land and live on the ship.

The ship looks great and drew a lot of excitement at first view. However, the cannons are very touchy and difficult to use when loaded on the ship. The figures do not stay put. For the cost, I would expect a little more precision in the cannon and easier location/attachment of the figures.

This was by far the most popular gift this holiday. Our 2 1/2 year old boy and 5 1/2 year old girl both LOVE playing with this pirate ship. It is well made and has lots of cool features. Even with tons of other new toys lying around, the kids want to play with this one. It comes with two pirates, so sharing is much easier. I highly recommend this one. Wish I could say that about so many other purchases!

My son recd this for his 3rd birthday. Was a huge hit with him. Ive never seen him spend so much time with one toy before. His attention and love for this toy continues 1 month later.

It came fully assembled in a big brown box - not fancy packaging - which was great. The other parts were assembled by my son immediately without any help from just looking at the black and white picture on the inserted guide. That easy!

The cannons that shoot are fun! And they cant hurt anyone. He got the matching whale from imaginex over christmas. And the water spouts out of the whale in the same way - like a little gun. There are many fun features to the boat. I like that there are rolling wheels deep in the bottom of the boat and whale so he can roll it around the kitchen floor like a big car almost. He holds the ships wheel as if driving it. The pirate figurines are excellent. The swords are easy to fit in their hands.

The toy is constructed well, is durable - doesnt fall apart like so many other toys. I think it will last a long time! It provides hours of good, imaginative playtime for my son. Im impressed!!! imaginex has excellent toys. I recommend them to any 3 - 6 year old. My older daughters (4 and 7) love to catch a free moment with these toys too. This is a great gift! Will be loved!

This game was the sole reason we purchased the Wii. After seeing it at a friends house(and now diving with them over the internet!) we had to get this game. I wish my boyfriend and I could dive together (especially since whoever gets to the Wii first gets to play Endless Ocean!). The best part is how our friends five year old gets to invite his Uncle onto the boat and lead dives...basically be in charge! Ive ordered all my friends to get this game it is the best way to relax and have fun! If you have kids, this is the best non-violent adventure game there is (and it secretly teaches you too!). If your friendly and nice to your ocean friends you will soon find yourself riding a whale to an ancient city and making dive buddies with dolphins! Our real-life scuba friends say this is the closest you will get to diving (press 2 to see in first person) while staying dry!

My 8-year-old and 10-year-old love this game - and I appreciate a break from fighting and blowing things up! The only down side for younger players is that there are lots of things to read, and so non-readers or even slow readers like my 8-year-old need some help.

I think its especially neat that the animals act like real animals - sometimes they will stick around and sometimes they wont - you can "feed" them to try to get them to stay.

Kids can learn lots of interesting facts about sea life playing this game, if they bother to read the facts.

The games are what I expected, but I am disappointed in the overall quality. It appears to be a poorly translated game. So some of the terms used dont necessarily mean what you expect them to. Its a lot of guessing...

And some games just arent right unless you have a big screen, which I dont. There is a boggle-like game, where you select words from a table of letters on the screen. on my 32 inch TV, the letters are so small, my eyes go buggy after awhile.

I bought this game thinking it would have to have at least some redeeming qualities, but I was wrong. I am a big fan of chess and thought that at the very least I would have that. I found it absolutely ridiculous how difficult the AI was for chess. On the easiest level it took me ten games before I finally beat the computer. The game is good for the kids, as it incorporates classic games like "Connect Four", "Battleship", and "Checkers", and if you want to play against other human players, the set-up is good, but the AI on this game is ridiculous. I wouldnt suggest this game to anyone who isnt looking for a frustrating time.

I bought this game because I thought it would be fun to have board games on the Wii -- something Ive wished that gaming companies would do for a long time. (I love PC games like Mah-Jong, etc. and really wanted that in the Wii format.)

I found this to be slow and, even on a 41-inch HDTV display, its hard to see.

I read many bad reviews on gamefly & IGN as well. The music has three songs a jazzy/techno beat (the beat was a decent attempt at being hip) & another jazz like elevator music song & I forget the third. they just bleed together.
The graphics have been around since the original NES - Playstation 1 times probably. There are about 6 different 3D backgrounds, but they still dont add to it.
The menu system could be better, the game doesnt explain its scoring method or & real quick on instructions on how to use the remote (no nunchuck option). The tutorial for how to play a game can only be accessed after you START a game & decide options which it never explains some of the options that arent obvious. It does have easy, medium & hard settings. I was hoping/EXPECTING a training option for games, especially chess (Ive never played), but beyond a 31 page 1 paragraph text & simple flash graphic example, it does not.
Now, board games are about strategy, right? Well, on ALL games, it highlights ALL possible moves it designates, EVEN on the HARD option.
CLASSIC GAMES
Chess - self-explanatory, simple boring graphics, anything youd find on a multi game PC title eve up to 10 years ago.
Checkers - I kicked butt on Medium though been too many years since I played. On hard, it kicked my butt. I started remember the strategies... then realized I wanted to make a perfectly fine safe legal move away from other opponents, but it would NOT let me. It wanted me to jump my opponent which would result in my piece getting jumped as well which I didnt want to lose. WHAT KIND OF GAME DOESN"T LET YOU CHOOSE YOUR OWN MOVES? Sure it helped to let me know I could do a move I didnt realize, but why limit you to the computers CHOSEN moves which resulted me in always losing?
Reversi - I can kick butt on this game every time usually because of ONE easy strategy. the boarder titles are KEY & ESPECIALLY corner pieces. its easy to figure out. But even on HARD the computer couldnt figure that out. Again, it highlights all choices though I dont think there was a limit like checkers. Another issue I think once I hit A (selected) a piece, I could not unselect it so I was stuck.
Backgammon - I forget how to play & the instructions still left me confused, so I did not play.
FAMILY GAMES
Jigsaw Puzzle - very hard pictures like a far away shot of an oil tanker in a cloudless sky in calm water. A dark shadowy sailboat at twilight so it was all in different colors of blue only. A panda surrounded only by bamboo leaves. The pieces move along the bottom like a stock market ticker & you pick it up as it passes. You have to guage where the peice would fit almost perfectly even in the middle even if its the first piece. OH! & the best part? The indicator in ALL the games is a small hand.. so when you have a piece in your hand, it COVERS it as you rotate it & decide where it fits.
Backgammon - I nver played it, the instructions made it seem like a very boring, with less strategy involved then even checkers. All possible moves were of course highlighted.
Wordcubes/Boggle - make words by selecting letters that touch each other. When play alone, it doesnt even give you a computer opponent like the other games.
Naval Battle/Battleship - graphics circa 1985. Getting bombs to hit took several attempts, it would make the square turn blue if missed & red outline of a square if hit w/sound of explosion. woo hoo. If found the full ship, it would show an outline for a second & then only the outlined red squares again. A faster but more mindless version of the game.
STRATEGY GAMES
Mahjong - I have an old CRT 27" (I use s-video cable for the wii) & sitting close I had no problem reading characters. I like the game overall, but I find Vistas much more engaging. Any tiles you cannot select because they are blocked are shadowed in grey instead of beige.
Connect Four - just like the board game except they look like red/yellow bulging tires or donuts with graphics from the 1990s.
Sudoku - did not play
Gomoku/Pente - never heard of it before, but played it & loved the style of game.

Some game boards are shown in easy, boring, top down view, some like Gomoku were on an angle to give it a 3D look.
This is another shovelware. The developers like most bad third parties think the secret to casual games is just slap an easy game w/o any attention to details, unique style, etc & consumers will still love it. They dont care, use limited budget, use their first timers or worst employees for these projects & give them little time & it will still sell. This game needed a human voice, profile options, explanation of scoring & better graphics.

There is nothing complex about this game, or actually series of games. However, it is a lot of fun to play because it can be very challenging. Even on the easy level, the computer is a tough opponent. Enjoyable for people of all ages.

I bought this game for speed skating and curling (yes, I am that much of a nerd!), but I love all the winter olympics sports. The graphics looked pretty good in the preview, so I thought I would love it...I did NOT love this game. Controls were unresponsive and most of the games (particularly bobsled and luge) require no skill whatsoever. Most importantly, after 5 tries, I still cannot get curling to work! Im glad I got this game on sale. I guess I shouldnt have expected too much quality from Conspiracy games...

The Cuttlebug embossing folders are the best of all worlds. They emboss cleanly, can be used in most larger die cutting machines and theyre inexpensive. I use mine in a Sizzix Big Kick. They are plastic folders with a positive image on one side and a negative on the other. Sandwich paper between, put it through the machine and voila! You have your image

The area the larger folders cover is a quarter sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper, just the right size for a small card or a panel on a larger card. This particular design looks good as is or colored in with chalk or markers.

The most dynamic method, however, is to use a brayer to ink the negative of the folder, insert the paper and roll it through the machine. What you get is the raised image the color of the paper and the background the color of the ink. It is gorgeous.

Some of the most effective uses come from embossing white paper and doing nothing at all other than adding a sentiment or a couple of embellishments. It can be quite elegant.

This should be called "Game Collection", or something. Theres definitely no party involved. Weve played each mini-game a few times, and it just never escalated to the point of real fun. Mild amusement for some (shuffleboard, hoops), and total frustration for others (beer pong). And the beer pong and darts just made me think I should buy a real dartboard and/or ping pong table, and forget the Wii.

Dumb game. Dont buy it. At least borrow or rent it first. Seriously, it wasnt even worth the $15 we spent for it.

How many controllers are supposed to work with this game? So far I can only get one controller to work, but there can be two players on one controller. Is there a way to get 4 controllers working or is that the way it is supposed to be? Should I try to return the game?? Thanks!

There are so many better party/multi activity games out there. Midway dropped the ball with this one. The controls are not responsive, the games are not exciting, and the answers in the trivia game have many flaws. Also, you have to select one of there generic characters to use instead of your mii. I would look elsewhere for a fun party game.

First, to really enjoy the game, you have to take note that the sensor bar is used in EVERY game. Its not like some of the other mini-game/party game disc that dont require a sensor bar, so make sure your sensor bar is fully functioning. For those with a big screen or a projector screen like us, this can cause a few issues.

The games are fun. Skill (Skee) ball is a blast. I dont understand why everyone is so upset about the "beer pong" game. If anyone wasnt aware of what beer pong was, youd have no idea it was geared towards drinking. None of the cups have liquid in them, none of the avatars drink when you get a ball in the cup. There is no mini-game in this game that isnt appropriate for youth.

Like most games, youll have to get the hang of how to play before you are a pro Most of these, you are not going to pick up your controller and ace right through. So its a bit of a challenge to learn techniques, which is nice. Why buy a game youd be great at without having to try? I found the darts particularly frustrating. What is neat is that it even takes into account how hard you thrust or push the controller.

I particularly like the Trivia, which can be played up to 4 players. It took a few moments for us to figure out that once you click your answer, the game doesnt react right away until everyone else answers, and the first once to answer gets points, so for the first few rounds I was shouting "What the heck?! I totally answered that right!!!" until I realized what was going on. But once you lock your answer in, your controller vibrates a bit so it lets you know that all is good.

For $10, I think its well worth the money and fun for parties or just hanging out with friends and/or family.
