My five year old got this for his 3rd birthday and he still uses it, his friends love it, his now 3 year old brother loves it. They really use their imaginations and have a great time (weve got castle accessories and other odd creatures like happy meals toys, etc.) The drawbridge broke when one of the kids pushed it too hard to stop another child from opening it but we unscrewed the part and fixed it and it works fine until kids fight over it and then we have to fix it again--pretty easy fix. Overall, this has been one of our most used toys. Were getting the Batman cave playset for them this Christmas because they had so many hours of fun with this.

I bought this toy for ... and it is wonderful! It was a gift for my 3 year old son - however, my 7 year old and 4 year old daughter also love it. Theyre having a blast finding all the secret doors ect. . . A great toy!

This is a great toy. My kids got this when they were 2 and 4 and have been playing with it ever since (they are now 4 and 5). My daughter uses it for her princesses, and my son plays with the knights and horses. I recently looked it up because a friends son played with it at our house and wants one of his own. I saw that Amazons price was $119.95 and hope that this is a typographical error. The toy can be found on other sites for about $20. It is well worth $20 but not even close to being worth $120...

This a great castle for young children. My son bought it with some birthday money of his 2 years ago for $40 at Toys R Us. Im surprised the price has gone up so much--did they stop making it in China?
Anyhow, it is always a hit with boys who come over for playdates. My son was 3 when he bought it and is now 5 and still plays with it from time to time, but at 5 years he is getting more into Playmobil and Schleich and other brands of dragons and characters so I cant imagine this being in use in our house for very much longer (maybe another year). He does use it with his wizard and dragon figures as well as animals and playmo people so it can be used for more than just knights.
The pieces are a good size for young children to play with and not get frustrated over (as they can with Playmobil). There are also some additional toys that can be bought on the side.
Great for the 3-5 years old, but I would go with another castle for older ages.
